It's been awhile

It's been a long while.. I've been working allot but also going to the beach.
I just recently had a photo meet up with my good friend!  Here's one of the photos.

A year in snapchats thus far

LOL..now one might be thinking why I
only made half a year in snapchats..cause honestly my video app loves to have it stick to 5 mins..

I've
had snapchat for about 2 years now..and I've had some snaps back when I
first got the app..but I wanted to start it from the beginning of this
year..you'll see mainly my nephew Blaze..and me on my adventures to the
beach and other places..These are memories to me..to help me remember
that sometimes when one is sad..there's always a reason to smile and you
were happy at one point or another..

Beach Beach..from last, last monday! LOL

I've been so busy with this past week..I wasnt able to post up when I went to the beach with Isaac last, last monday..Holy Shit..talk about slacking!

We went to Barber's Point/ White Plains..cause he wanted to surf..I honestly haven't gone to this beach in ages..cause well..for one its out of the way for me (North Shore is super close to me..about 20 mins away) and it's filled with military guys and the beach is kinda ugly! 

But he got to chose plus he said the waves were good..and so we went..LOL

 To be honest..It was very weird for me to watch him surf..(even though he didn't want me to watch him) I'm used to watching my dad surf or boogieboard but I watched for a bit..

So I just tanned and swam as he surfed..just like the seals! Which was pretty cool to see.

 He then made trouble to the birds..and tried to catch them..LOL
It was a good beach day..

I got my days mixed up at first I though it was this past week but then I remembered I went with my friend Sony to Ala Moana Beach last week..and I didnt get to take pics..since it was a short trip..LOL
 

Not a bad thing...

Today was one eventful day..

It first started out as a normal day..Me hiding that I've been feeling cynical for the past 3 weeks..questioning about life and love..why we have feelings for someone and have the possibility of getting hurt or loved..How many times do we get hurt till we find someone to heal our wounds..

My co-worker and I were talking..she then remembered and said to me " Oh my God. Shana. There's a song that reminded me of you." I asked her what the song was called and then downloaded it right away..figured I'd listen to it later..

After listening and watching the video..It gave me hope..being cynical or jaded is because I started not to believe in love anymore especially in this world we live in..because we all get hurt all in this search for love..but we all deserve love..it's the chance we take in this life..

I may not have a BF and people may have broken my heart many times but if you keep on living and loving..Love will find you..

You just have to have faith..

Because LOVE is LIFE..

And Everything happens for a reason!

I've been called a mermaid numerous times..especially more in my adult life..I'm very fortunate to have been born and raised in Hawaii. To have the ocean always be a part of my life. I'm tied to the ocean..to swim in the waters..to feel the sun shine down on me..it washes away my worries and problems..

One day I'll have to leave..but Hawaii..is always my home.

Bed Peace

As I lay in bed slightly awake. Groggy..and pretty pissed..A friend called me early in the morning..awaking me from my slumber..Close to my wits end..the convo ends..and I attempt to go back to sleep..
I toss. I turn..Annoyed even more..I let out a frustrated groan. 

FUCK! 

Once I calm down..Take in a deep breath and sighed..I start to think and wonder..Hmm..Why can I sleep? I turn my body to the side.. a slight memory of being in a nest of blanket and pillow..and a strangely super warm body and his arm right above my head..A dark, quiet room..yet a bit of chaos is happening outside of it..A girl singing loudly..roosters crowing..an aunty yelling at somebody..I smiled..and remembered I've slept so deeply there in that bed..and that's rare!

Beach day

Feeling: Still Sleepy

Normally Sundays and Mondays are always deemed with such sadness because its the beginning of the work week..but for me..Its kind of like my weekend..I start work Tuesday-Saturday..and sometimes I work on Sundays too because of my other job..but I lucked out this weekend. 

I normally almost always have Mondays off but Mr. Isaac always seems to be working on those days but we lucked out and was able to go to the beach. 
With no surprise we ate pizza for late breakfast/ early lunch. LOL

Of course he's the only guy I know who loves pizza as much as I do! LOL enough to want it first thing right when you wake up! LOL

 We amazingly decided to go to Waimea..My fave beach..plus it was nice and sunny! 

Oh Waimea..How I love you! LOL It was great cause there weren't many people. It was partially cloudy so it meant it wasn't too cold or too hot. 
Of course it goes without saying that I start badgering Isaac with me taking random pics of him! LOL

Its also because he was passed out most of the time and only came into the water with me once! So he's dubbed Mr. Panda..LOL

Plus he also took over the towel again and somehow got sand all over the place...

Of course a trip to the North Shore isn't complete without Lanikai Juice..

 I was too excited about my drink I didnt take a pic of it..but I did take a pic of Isaac's Acai bowl..then took a pic of him cause he grumbled of how I stole his pic..LOL So Isaac and his Acai bowl! LOL 
To top it off we got to see the Lunar eclipse..which was awesome..
It was a great day..I hope I get another beach day soon..You can never have too many of those! LOL

Sometimes one wants the chase..To chase something elusive like a sunset..Never to possibly obtained..

I personally love this picture for many reasons..I was very fortunate to capture it and have it come out the way it did..I wish I could have a beach day like this again..It was such a fun adventure.

The little things..

The little things are what keeping me afloat..
I honestly feel like drowning in this chaos..
To break down at any given second..
But remembering the little things..happy things that are keeping me afloat..

I need the beach, the ocean more than anything right now..

Lots of Krewella lately..but when I first heard this song through a friend..it really stuck with me..cause we are only human. We can only handle so much. Some people can handle a little where as others can handle allot. 

I'm going through some things at the moment...family and what not. People dying..people ignoring..people not being there..and how scary it can be to tell someone how you feel and see whats gonna happen next..
But one has to remember that everything happens for a reason..
people are dying everyday..but God will release them from their pain..
people ignoring..they may be going through their own thing..and if they dont care about you..well..time to move on!
people not being there..same thing..people may have their own problems..but if they are doing it on purpose..then they arent your real friends..
The scariness of telling someone how you feel and what the outcome may be..at least you were honest with how you felt..instead of hiding it..everything happens for a reason..if it happens, it happens..if not..then thats ok..at least you laid the cards on the table.

Beach day with my best Sarah

Feeling: Refreshed 

Honestly with all the chaos going on. It was nice to have a get together with my good best friend Sarah. Its been awhile since we were able to hang out..let alone go to the beach together. 

The last time we went to the beach together was probably last year! We wanted to stick close by since we went later in the day. So Koolina it was! Plus today was a nice day! 

 Its honestly been years since I've been to Koolina..and I kind of remember why..I was slightly thrown off by how there was little to no waves and the water was really cold and super shallow. I normally just walk into the water and dive right in..but here if I did that I would've totally ate some sand! But beach is the beach and I had my best to talk to..it was still a great time!

Sarah and I decided to try this pizza place in the area! It was really yummy..granted one can't quite mess up cheese pizza..( and I've honestly come across some junk cheese pizza believe it or not!) This place was good! I wish we got the garlic knots too but yea..LOL

 We actually ate the whole pizza..now granted I ate my 4 big pieces..no problem! But Sarah said to me..She actually was struggling her 3rd and 4th piece..and even after I had enough room to eat an ice cream cone! Now to make matters worse..She's pregnant..5 months along! She said to me " Girl, you just out ate a pregnant lady. I'm impressed!" LOL even after we hung out couple hours after the pizza..I was still hungry. She was like " Girl, I'm still full! How the hell??" LOL 

 
 What can I say? My mom always told me I've loved pizza since I was in the womb. If the pizza is good..best believe I'm gonna eat it all! LOL Believe it or not I used be able to eat a whole medium sized pizza when I was a teenager!

Today was a great day! It was much needed! I hope this week is better than the last..but always remember smile even when things are falling apart!

Its kinda funny how I think the type of music I like..I remember growing up you kinda had to stuck to one type of music. You either liked rock or pop..R&B or classical. I know people have their preferance and stick to them..but for me music can create a mood or it brings back a certain memory.

Muddy pillbox hike/ Lanikai Beach

feeling: honestly well rested! :D

Well..today was one adventurous day. Isaac, and our H.S. classmates Phil, Matthew, and Phil's GF Sam and I went to hike pillboxes in Kailua area. When I woke up this morning it was raining. I was hoping it wouldn't be too rainy since it was also planned to go to the beach. Lets just say that it was rainy all over but altogether it was fun!

It got foggy at one point. I've never done this hike before. I've also never hiked in the rain either. So this experience was different but fun. 

 

 Isaac and I after the beach. He said "North shore got nothing on Lanikai." I
 said "No ways, man. Lanikai got nothing on the North Shore!" lol

We then ate at Kalapawai? I cant remember if that was the name..LOL

 

Where I had a bagel and the motherload of cream cheese. I had to give some to Isaac. It was too much. Plus this guy wanted to eat a cinnamon roll..which lead him getting a quart of milk. FYI I drank more than half of the carton. LOL I had a bite of the roll..talk about instant diabetes! LOL We even scraped off most of the icing. 

We then heading back..LOL due to the rain and the clouds the mountains looked like Jurassic Park. 

Then I pass out due to the lack of sleep I had the night before! 

It was one fun adventure. I hope we get to do it again soon!
